What is IDUN?

IDUN is a 400m² production space for music, film, photography, rehearsals, recordings, exhibitions, and events. Four different rooms, built to adapt to the people, projects, and ideas that fill them.
Why?

We want to create an open, well-equipped, and accessible space for creative work across disciplines. A place where ideas have room to take shape.What’s the Vision?

GRAIN DRIFT

Exhibition
Grain Drift is a site-specific exhibition where textile and sound converge in an immersive experience. Textile artist Josefin Åberg explores the intersection of traditional textile craft and digital aesthetics through weaving, sculpture, and installation. 
Presented at IDUN, the exhibition is framed by a site-specific sound environment by composer and percussionist Mårten Hillbom, created from recordings of natural materials and percussion.

Textile artist Josefin Åberg explores the intersection of traditional textile craft and digital aesthetics through weaving, sculpture, and installation. Her work brings the tactile and digital into dialogue through coded structures and algorithmic logic that connect craft and digital processes.

GREY 
BOX


Grey Box is IDUN’s largest and most flexible space, with an open floor plan stretching 14.2 metres in length that adapts to different kinds of productions and events.

The 15-metre-long room is great for photography and film, especially when you need long shots in controlled conditions. A band can rehearse here in the morning, turn the room into a photo studio in the afternoon, and shoot a music video in the same space by evening. The modular six-piece stage can be arranged in different configurations or removed entirely depending on the project

You can book from half a day to a full week or longer, giving you the flexibility to use the space for both shorter sessions and extended productions.

Grey Box also works well for company events, presentations, workshops, launches, and larger gatherings. A projector is available for presentations and screenings, while the adjoining kitchen makes it easy to serve coffee, drinks, and food directly into the space.

The grand piano is available for rehearsals, recordings, concerts, and shoots. Photo lights, backgrounds, microphones, and other equipment can also be used depending on your production.

What else can I do in the Grey Box?
Beyond productions, Grey Box can also be used for company gatherings, presentations, workshops, launches, screenings, listening sessions, exhibitions, and private events. Bring the team together for a presentation, host a talk or screening, launch a new project, or transform the room for an evening event.

For music productions, the space makes it easy to combine several parts of a project in one booking. A band can rehearse, record a live session, take new press photos, and shoot video without moving equipment between locations. The same flexibility works for film and photography productions, from interviews and portraits to fashion, editorial, product photography, and larger group shoots.

BLACK
BOX


Black Box is a flexible production space built for photography, film, sound, and everything in between. With black fabric covering the walls and floor, the room can be transformed into a full 360° black box for a completely controlled visual environment. Natural light enters through a window when you want it, with the option to block it out entirely for darker setups and full control over the lighting.

You can be booked from half a day to a week or longer, whether you need it for a quick studio session or want to build a setup and leave it in place for an extended production.

For photography, the space works for portraits, fashion, editorial, product photography, press photos, and creative shoots. With black fabric covering both the walls and floor, the room can be transformed into a 360° black box measuring approximately 8.2 × 6.3 metres. The black wall fabric reaches 3 metres in height, while the room itself has a ceiling height of 4.6 metres.

Photo backgrounds and lighting equipment are available, making it easy to build different setups directly in the room.

For film, Black Box can be used for interviews, music videos, commercials, content production, live sessions, and other studio shoots. The dark environment is particularly useful when you want control over the lighting or need to create a specific visual setting without interference from daylight.

The room also works as a sound and recording studio for music, voice-over, podcasts, interviews, sound design, and smaller live recordings. It also makes it easy to combine sound, photo, and video production in the same booking.

What else can I do in the Black Box?
Black Box can also become a screening room, presentation space, or intimate event setting. A projector is available for film screenings, presentations, and visual material, making the room suitable for company presentations, product launches, listening sessions, workshops, and smaller gatherings.

The room can change purpose throughout the day. Shoot product photos in the morning, film campaign material in the afternoon, and invite guests for a presentation or launch in the evening.

WHITE 
BOX


White Box is a bright and flexible space designed for smaller productions, photography, pop-ups, meetings, and creative work. Its clean, neutral setting makes it easy to adapt the room to different projects without bringing in more than you need.


You can book on its own or together with our other spaces, from shorter sessions to week-long productions and longer projects.

For photography, White Box works especially well for clothing, portraits, product photography, lookbooks, castings, and content production. The simple surroundings make it easy to create a clean visual setup or bring in your own styling and transform the room around a specific shoot.

The space can also be used for pop-up shops, showrooms, small exhibitions, product displays, and launches. Bring in clothing racks, furniture, products, or artwork and use the room as your own temporary space for a day, a weekend, or longer.

What else can I do in the White Box?
White Box also works as an office, meeting room, or workspace. During larger productions at IDUN, it can become a separate production office for projects taking place in Grey Box or Black Box: giving producers, clients, crew, or talent their own space away from the main production.

Use it for planning in the morning, a casting or fitting in the afternoon, or transform the entire room into a temporary showroom or pop-up for the weekend.

Common
Spaces


Every booking at IDUN includes access to the common spaces, designed to make longer production days as comfortable and practical as possible.

The common spaces can also become part of your production. Use the lounge for interviews, meetings or smaller shoots, the kitchen as a natural setting for photo and film, or the garage for productions that require direct vehicle access.

For larger productions, the spaces also make it easier to separate different parts of the day. Crew can take a break in the lounge, catering can be set up in the kitchen, equipment can be stored in the garage, while production continues uninterrupted in the main rooms.














Empty space

Kitchen
The kitchen gives you space to prepare food, make coffee, serve drinks, or set up catering for your team, clients, or guests. It is directly connected to Grey Box, making it especially useful during events and larger productions.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, bar fridge, coffee maker, a selection of tea, and kitchen equipment for preparing and serving food. Perfect for a quick coffee between sessions, lunch for the crew, or catering for an event.


Lounge
The lounge is a more relaxed space away from the main production areas. Use it for breaks, informal meetings, lunch, waiting talent, or simply as somewhere for the team to sit down between sessions. Put on a record, pick up a book, or have a coffee while you take a break.


Toilets
IDUN also has toilets within the main space, easily accessible from the production areas.

Two toilets are available, including one wheelchair-accessible toilet.


Garage
The private indoor garage has space for up to two cars and direct access to Grey Box. It makes loading and unloading equipment easy and can also be used for temporary storage during your booking.



Together, these spaces mean you can spend a full day, or several days, working at IDUN without having to leave the building for the practical things around the production.
